Main Street Gallery (MSG) in Cambridge, MD was established in 2008 as part of the town’s newly designated Arts and Entertainment District. Over the years, it has evolved into a privately operated cooperative gallery. Its juried membership is open to artists working in all mediums, with emphasis on those whose practices reflect a contemporary, non-traditional and/or experimental approach.

With a minimum of 6 new shows each year, the gallery seeks to offer a platform for:

  • member artist to evolve their practice, and to exhibit and market their work

  • offering juried guest artists opportunities for collaborative exhibits

  • scheduling events featuring related artistic disciplines such as poetry readings, music and other performative arts

  • offering arts instruction and teaching opportunities in both hands on and online formats

  • engaging in collaborative opportunities with regional arts groups

  • involving the arts in supportive charitable fundraising and education

Main Street Gallery also continues to be a vital part of the A&E District, as well as the local business community, participating in the many festivals and events that highlight downtown Cambridge.
