Main Street Gallery (MSG) in Cambridge, MD was established in 2008 as part of the town’s newly designated Arts and Entertainment District. Over the years, it has evolved into a privately operated cooperative gallery. Its juried membership is open to artists working in all mediums, with emphasis on those whose practices reflect a contemporary, non-traditional and/or experimental approach.
With a minimum of 6 new shows each year, the gallery seeks to offer a platform for:
member artist to evolve their practice, and to exhibit and market their work
offering juried guest artists opportunities for collaborative exhibits
scheduling events featuring related artistic disciplines such as poetry readings, music and other performative arts
offering arts instruction and teaching opportunities in both hands on and online formats
engaging in collaborative opportunities with regional arts groups
involving the arts in supportive charitable fundraising and education
Main Street Gallery also continues to be a vital part of the A&E District, as well as the local business community, participating in the many festivals and events that highlight downtown Cambridge.
